I talk a lot about affiliate marketing - being a middle man and helping sell other people’s products for nice commission. But there’s an even better way to make money–making and selling your own ebook.

Selling your own eBook is great. Why? All you have to do is create your product, set up your site and let other people refer traffic YOUR way!

Part I: Making the eBook

So here is the 3 part guide to make money selling an ebook.

1. Find your expertise

The first step to creating your digital product is to find what you’re good at. What do you know how to do better than most people? Don’t be narrow minded–you don’t have to be an expert at the conventional make money online ebook.

For example, if I were to write my own eBook, it would be on investing your money in gold or real estate, and how to play those markets to earn as much money as possible. You’ll find that this would be a great eBook, since a quick search of affiliate sites shows NO ebooks on these topics.

2. Make your own .PDF ebook

The second step is writing and creating your own .PDF. Any professional digital product these days will be using a PDF file for their ebook.

I highly recommend using PDF Creator to make your own PDF files. It will cost you a bit, but it is the cheapest and easiest to use eBook creator out there. Remember that this is just a small initial investment for the good money you’re going to make.

3. Length & Content of eBook

Brevity is much appreciated by readers. Don’t give people your life story, just put your ideas on the page in the most simple and concise way you can. No one ever complained of a short and easy to follow book.

Every chapter where you’re teaching something, it’s good to have a summary of things learned during this chapter–not only does it make it easier for a reader to come back to it, you can use it to advertise (more on this in part II).

Getting your eboundhost account sounds great and all, but then they bill you until you call your credit card company. They’re support system is terrible and you’ll waste a good chunk of your life trying to get them to communicate with you.
